November 15, 2009 - In MD, Painter, Ch Flashback's Handy Man CDX RA OA NAJ NAP JH *WCX* CGC earned his WCX.  Painter did a great job - one of only 4 (of 13) dogs who passed the test!  Painter is owned, trained and handled by Sharon Movic (PA).  

November 15, 2009 - In WA, at the Whidbey Island Kennel Club Show in Monroe, 6-month-old Asa, Blacklace Luck of the Draw (Mick [Noof x. Snicker] x. Lucie), won Reserve under Kathy Forbes.  This was Asa's first show weekend.  Asa is owned by Cathy and Tim Ryan (WA) and handled by Kathy Johnson.

November 1, 2009 - In VA, at the Virginia Beach Kennel Club show, Boone, Ch Flashback's Sweet Talkin' Guy RA WC CGC won Best of Breed over other specials under Patricia Leakey Brenner!  Today was Boone's first breed show since the Specialty, and Boone and Melody's first all-breed show together since his relocation after Sharon passed away.  Boone is owned and trained by Melody Daniels (VA). 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

October 31, 2009 - In PA, at the Mid-Atlantic Flat-Coated Retriever Club supported entry in Bloomsburg, Painter, Ch Flashback's Handy Man CDX RA JH OA NAJ NAP CGC won High Scoring Flat-Coat in Open B obedience and won the Working Dog class!  Painter is owned, trained and handled by Sharon Movic (PA).  

October 25, 2009 - In NC, at the Albermarle Retriever Club fun hunt test in Hertfofrd, Boone, Ch Flashback's Sweet Talkin' Guy RA WC CGC qualified in the UKC Started Hunting Retriever test.  Boone also got to be pick-up dog after he finished his own work!

October 3, 2009 - In MN, at the Wright County Kennel Club show in Hutchinson, Toke, Flashback One Toke Over the Line won the point and Best Opposite Sex under Madeline B. Fish.  Toke is owned, trained and handled by Sara Grachek (MN).

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

September 20, 2009 - In VA, Boone, Ch Flashback's Sweet Talkin' Guy RA WC CGC earned his 2nd Junior Hunter leg!  Boone is owned, trained and handled by Melody Daniels (VA).  This was Melody and Boone's 1st performance event together.  Boone was trained by his original owner, the late Sharon Rich, who also ran him for his 1st leg.  Great job Melody and Boone! 

September 20, 2009 - In MN, Toke, Flashback One Toke Over the Line ran in her 1st CPE agility trail today.  Toke was 2 for 2, qualifying in Standard and Jumpers!  Toke is owned, trained and handled by Sara Grachek (MN).  

September 12, 2009 - In MN, at the Rochester Kennel Club show, Toke, Flashback One Toke Over the Line won the point and Best Opposite Sex under Paula Hartinger.  Toke is owned, trained and handled by Sara Grachek (MN).

September 5, 2009 - In MN, at the Minnesota Mixed Breed Club NADAC agility trial in Savage, Meg, Ch Beacon's Dash of Nut-Meg  AX AXJ NJP EAC O-EJC ECC S-TN-E TG-O WV-E CGC  Can. AGN was 2 for 2, 2 Q's, both 1st place, 5 seconds under time in Elite Tunnelers and 9 seconds under time in Open Jumpers.  Snicker,  Ch Claymore's Live, Love, Laugh NA NAJ NAP NJP OAC OJC OCC O-TN-O TG-N CL2-R CGC  FFX-AG Can. August 22, 2009 - In MN, at the Upper Midwest Flatcoated Retriever Club supported entry at the St. Croix Kennel Club show in Lake Elmo, Onyx, *Ch* Flashback Back in Black CGC won the 5 point major and Best of Winners under Pluis Davern.  This completed Onyx's Championship with 3 majors at 15 months old!  Earlier that day, Onyx also won Best Opposite in Puppy Sweeps, and mom Snicker, Ch Claymore's Live, Love, Laugh NA NAJ NAP NJP OAC OJC OCC O-TN-O TG-N CL2-R CGC FFX-AG Can. AGN won Best Opposite in Veteran Sweeps!  Meg, Ch Beacon's Dash of Nut-Meg AX AXJ NJP EAC O-EJC ECC S-TN-E TG-O WV-E CGC  Can. AGN took 3rd place in the 9-11 year old class in Veteran Sweeps! 

August 22, 2009 - In PA, at the Keystone Retriever Club hunt test, Painter, Ch Flashback's Handy Man CDX RA OA NAJ NAP CGC earned his 2nd Junior Hunter leg!  Painter is owned, trained and handled by Sharon Movic (PA).  

August 15, 2009 - In WI, at the Marshfield Area Kennel Club show, Onyx, Flashback Back in Black CGC won the 3 point Major under Joseph Gregory.  Onyx now has 12 points with 2 majors.  Onyx is owned by Les and Linda Conrad (MN) and trained and handled by Linda. 

August 8, 2009 - In MN, at the Freeborn County Kennel Club show in Albert Lea, Onyx, Flashback Back in Black CGC won the point under Carole Beattie.  Onyx now has 9 points with 1 major.  Onyx is owned by Les and Linda Conrad (MN) and trained and handled by Linda.

July 24, 2009 - Happy 4th birthday to the 2005 Flashback litter!!!  HAPPY BIRTHDAY to the best Flat-Coats in the world (shhhhh - don't tell the 2008 puppies that I said that and I'll ask them not to tell you when I say the same thing about them!!   :-))  How can 4 years have gone by already?????  They've all matured into very nice, talented dogs - but even better than that is the amount of love and happiness that they've brought to all of you and the amount of time and love that you've given them in return.  Happy, Happy Birthday to Rio, Mick, Patsy, Painter, Boone, Ringo, Parker, Strider and Max!!!

June 7, 2009 - At the FCRSA National Specialty in RI, Painter, Ch Flashback's Handy Man CDX RA OA NAJ NAP CGC placed 4th out of 19 dogs in Unsteady Singles B.  Needless to say, Sharon is thrilled and Painter said he can't remember when he's had so much fun - unless, of course, it was yesterday!!!  Painter is owned by Sharon and Ray Movic (PA) and trained and handled by Sharon.

May 15, 2009 - Has it really been a year???? I guess time really does go faster as you get older and even faster when you're having fun!!

I took a few minutes this morning to look back at the 2008 puppy pages on our website as well as the pictures that you all have sent over the past year. I found myself smiling A LOT as I looked at those pictures - these are some very lucky puppies!! And Les and I know how lucky we are to have placed all 14 of Snicker's puppies in loving, caring homes and we thank each of you for that.

However you choose to celebrate today, please give each one of your special girls an extra hug and kiss from Snicker and us!! Onyx started his day at 6:00 a.m. at the dog park, running and chasing with a few other dogs while carrying either a tennis ball or stick the whole time. Course that's how he starts EVERY day and he WAS a little miffed that none of the other dogs bothered to tell him Happy Birthday :-)) We'll see what the rest of the day brings....whatever it is, he'll MAKE it fun - that's just the way he lives his life! Hmmmmm.....he must be a Flat-Coat!

April 26, 2009 - In NC, as Sharon Rich wished, today Melody Daniels picked up Boone, Ch Flashback's Sweet Talkin' Guy RA WC CGC from Oliver Sibert.  Melody felt that Boone recognized her and her mom right away as they had met at the Specialty in St. Louis in 2006 and visited again at a show in GA in 2007.  It was Sharon's wish to see Boone happily jump into Melody's car for the trip to VA - today we think Sharon looked down with her big smile and nodded her approval.  Rest In Peace Sharon, Boone is home and will be well loved and cared for, just as you would have done.  Link to Melody's web page Boone. 

April 25, 2009 - In PA, Painter, Ch Flashback's Handy Man *CDX* RA OA NAJ NAP CGC  picked up his 3rd CDX leg (in three trials) for his Companion Dog Excellent title.  Sharon and Painter had a deal, if Painter qualified today, he would get tomorrow off and a full baby pool to swim in.  Painter liked that idea! April 4, 2009 - In WI, Toke, Flashback One Toke Over the Line won Winners Bitch and Best Opposite Sex at the Indianhead Kennel Club show in Eau Claire under Sari Brewster Tietjen.  Toke was amateurly handled by Linda in the 9-12 month class (Linda's self characterization) and expertly handled to her win by Sara!!  :-)))  This was Toke's second time in the ring, and these are the first points for the 2008 Flashback litter!  Snicker is very proud!!!  Toke is owned, trained and (will always be???  :-))) handled by Sara Grachek (MN).  

March 28 - 29, 2009 - In PA, on Saturday, Painter, Ch Flashback's Handy Man CD RA OA NAJ NAP CGC was the only qualifier (1st place) and earned his first Companion Dog Excellent (CDX) leg.  Sunday Painter and Sharon brought some comic relief to the ring, but again was the only qualifier, Painter earned his second CDX leg!  First, Painter executed a "big pounce" on the dumbbell on the retrieve on the flat, he proudly brought the dumbbell back, wagging his tail. The judge was laughing and apologizing at the same time. Then on the retrieve over the high jump, he went over to a chair to check out some sunglasses that were sitting on it.  After a good sniffing, he remembered, oh yeah, I am here to get the dumbbell!  He picked it up, did the jump and then proceeded to place both of his front paws on Sharon's shoulders while stretching. The judge was laughing some more.... and said, please take the dumbbell!  Painter is owned, trained and expertly handled by Sharon Movic (PA). 

March 22, 2009 - Patsy, Ch Flashback Crazy for Loving You CD CGC has been bred to Jake (Ch Huntlover's Jumping Star of Bristol).  Black and liver puppies expected May 20 in Washington.  See Northern Lights Flat-Coated Retrievers for details and pictures.  Inquiries welcome.

March 14, 2009 - In Ohio, Painter, Ch Flashback's Handy Man CD RA *OA* NAJ NAP CGC qualified in 1st place for his OA title!  Only 2 dogs in all heights qualified today.  This agility location remains very special for Painter, the name of the road it is on is "Painters Path"!  Painter is owned, trained and handled by Sharon Movic (PA).  Congratulations Sharon and Painter, Ch Flashback's Handy Man CD RA *OA* NAJ NAP CGC.
